Κίεβο: «ρωσικά drones έπληξαν το πλοίο στη μαύρη θάλασσα» – ήταν τουρκικό και μετέφερε καλαμπόκι

Βυθίστηκε το εμπορικό πλοίο στο οποίο ξέσπασε πυρκαγιά στη Μαύρη Θάλασσα, ανοιχτά της Ρουμανίας, με αποτέλεσμα να χάσουν τη ζωή τους δύο ναυτικοί. Ο ένας ήταν ο καπετάνιος του πλοίου. Έντεκα άλλα μέλη του πληρώματος διασώθηκαν.

Από την πλευρά της, η Ουκρανία απέδωσε το περιστατικό στη Μαύρη Θάλασσα σε επίθεση ρωσικών drones. Ο Ουκρανός πρόεδρος, Βολοντίμιρ Ζελένσκι, επιβεβαίωσε τον θάνατο του ενός ναυτικού, ενώ είπε ότι ο δεύτερος εξακολουθεί να αγνοείται.

Two crew members were killed and 11 more rescued after a reported drone attack in the Black Sea targeted the grain carrier Royad Mammadov.

The vessel was hit after departing from Izmail, Ukraine’s Odesa region, bound for Ravenna, Italy. Although operated by a Turkish company, it flew the flag of St. Kitts and Nevis.

The incident occurred within Romania’s exclusive economic zone, approximately 9 nautical miles from the Pescăruș offshore platform.

Romanian maritime authorities have launched an investigation and have not yet specified the cause of the fire. Local media and sources report it was the result of a drone attack.

Ukraine has repeatedly proposed concrete steps to de-escalate the situation and ensure security in the Black Sea. There have also been relevant proposals from third countries. But Russia consistently chooses terror and sinking civilian vessels instead of normal maritime navigation. Pressure is needed to restore global food security. Οι ρωσικές αρχές δεν προέβησαν άμεσα σε σχόλιο για το περιστατικό στη Μαύρη Θάλασσα. Ωστόσο, σε προηγούμενο ημερήσιο δελτίο Τύπου του ρωσικού Υπουργείου Άμυνας αναφερόταν ότι η Ρωσία είχε χτυπήσει δύο φορτηγά πλοία.

Τα ρουμανικά ΜΜΕ είχαν αναφέρει νωρίτερα ότι το περιστατικό σημειώθηκε κοντά σε πετρελαϊκή πλατφόρμα που διαχειρίζεται η ρουμανική ενεργειακή εταιρεία OMV Petrom. Η εταιρεία δήλωσε στον ρουμανικό ιστότοπο HotNews.ro ότι η πλατφόρμα λειτουργεί κανονικά.
